Job Summary
Summary: The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using dishwashing equipment as assigned, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Follows assigned procedures to wash pots, pans, and trays, maintaining complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Utilizes burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth (depending on assigned equipment and procedures) to polish silver, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Adheres to outlined safety procedures and maintains appropriate temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
Ensures the dish area is organized and compliant with safety standards.
Maintains cleanliness of kitchen floors, worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
Properly disposes of trash and steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
Assists with the transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Helps load and unload supplies and products.
Performs other duties as assigned.
