Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Familiarize oneself with the Grocery Standard Practice Manual.
- Execute all assigned duties and responsibilities with a high standard of workmanship.
- Report any equipment repairs or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure that received products meet the company’s quality standards and authorization criteria.
- Ensure department compliance with pricing guidelines (where applicable).
- Enter relevant information into both desktop and hand-held computers.
- Fulfill any other duties as assigned.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Exhibit effective communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and handle multiple tasks and technical requirements, including successful completion of forklift and power jack training.
- Meet the minimum age requirements for the position.
- Ability to lift cases weighing up to 40 pounds, constituting at least 50% of the workload.
- Meet established volume and fixed activity standards.
- Be able to stand or walk 100% of the time.
- Engage in frequent reaching, grasping, and lifting of individual stock items below waist level or above shoulder level.
- Be prepared for frequent bending.
- Capability to handle various substances associated with cleaning materials, packing materials, and food products.
- Tolerance for working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Proficiency in using desktop and hand-held computers for data entry and retrieval purposes.
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of all items delivered and credited to the store.
- Cultivate a positive relationship with vendors.
- Maintain effective communication with the management team and all associates.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards.
- Preserve the cleanliness and condition of all equipment.
- Comply with company standards and programs for safety, fire prevention, and security.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the outside dock area.
- Demonstrate physical capability to meet the position’s requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations.
