Monthly checks and a onetime $1400 stimulus check. This is unbelievable. I have all the details and what you need to know right here in the topic, so let’s get right into it. Alright, so on this topic, I want to share with you some some new information that was just released on monthly checks and of course, a one-time $1,400 stimulus check. I think you’re going to find this to be very interesting and this is probably going to resonate with a lot of you right here in the community, as I know that this certainly resonates with me, and I’m guessing it probably resonates with a lot of people out there as well.
So let’s get into it and discuss all the details on these monthly checks and of course, the one off $1,400 stimulus check and all the details that were just released. But really fast before we do, thank you so much for joining me. If you want to stay updated each and every day with everything going on in regards to money. Benefits. Stimulus checks.
Raises to benefits. New bills. New piece of legislation. Or the current package that Congress is currently working on with a price tag of at least $1 trillion.
As it is still yet to be determined what is going to be in that $1 trillion package. Possibly even more. And there’s a lot of things going on right now, including checks, money, programs, as well as so many other things out there, right here, right now. And I want to keep you updated with everything going on. And let’s get into it and discuss this new information that just came out on monthly checks and of course, the one off $1,400 stimulus checks as well. All right, so let me tell you all the details behind this because as I was reading this information, I thought this is actually very interesting and I know that this is actually resonating with me as well. And I’ll be interested to see down in the comments section if this is also your case as well. So a new study was actually just conducted on these one off stimulus checks as well as monthly checks.
So over the last two and a half years or so, we’ve been seeing these stimulus checks out of the federal government, right? The $1200 in early 2020, the $600 in late 2020, and the one $400 in early 2021. Obviously, we all know about this, right? It’d be sure nice if we could add another one of those to our list, right? A stimulus check in say, mid 2022, something like that.
That should be nice, right? But again, we’ll have to see what actually happens here going forward. But here’s what the study is showing. This study is showing that these one off checks that they’ve actually been sending out have actually been offering a disservice to the vast majority of people and actually causing massive frustration with the vast majority of people that are receiving them. Here’s why this is actually interesting, because I think all of us in this community are probably experiencing something like this.
And I know for me this is probably the case, right? Here’s what it comes down to. Because these checks have gone out, it’s very exciting and it’s very helpful for the vast majority of people that get them. They get the payment, they use the money, and then all of a sudden it’s gone. But wait, what happened?
Life was really good for like 13 minutes, right? Life was really good. Things were going really great for the 15 minutes that took us to spend the one $400. But then what happens? It’s all gone, right?
We paid on bills, we catch up on rent, we pay utilities, maybe we get some food, maybe we pay for gas in the car or whatever happens to be it doesn’t really matter what it is. The fact of the matter is what they were finding from this study is that the vast majority of people spend their check really, really fast and then all of a sudden, when it’s gone, all of a sudden people get a little bit irritated, a little bit frustrated that the fact of the matter is that, wait, there’s not another check. What am I going to do now, right? So what I actually found with this study is that these checks have actually been offering a disservice to the vast majority of people, even though the money has been really great and has helped out a lot of people from a monetary standpoint. But psychologically, it is not helping people all that much because now it puts them into a position where I had help, I was getting some relief, and now they just left me out to they just left me they just left me in the dust.
Now what, right? So it’s kind of interesting to see this report and this new study that was released on this. However, on the other flip side of this, let me share the details about monthly checks because this is the complete opposite situation. Now, here’s what they’ve done, too. They’ve done some studies on monthly checks and they’ve tracked people over an 18 month period of time.
So a year and a half period of time that have received monthly checks ongoing every single month. Now, again, the amounts have varied. They studied people that have received $500 a month and they studied people that received $1,000 a month. And the same was true for either dollar amount. Here’s what they found.
From a psychological standpoint, from a mental health standpoint, people were extremely well off mentally, physically, and of course, from a monetary standpoint, when they were receiving these monthly ongoing checks because they knew month over month over month, every single month, that that check was going to arrive and they could get into a good place, right? They could be in a good place mentally, physically, and financially. They could be in a really good place because they found that these people understood that the money was going to continue coming. They knew it was going to be coming. So what they actually found from this study overall, is that these monthly checks were actually a really good thing and very highly effective for the vast majority of people that were receiving them because they were getting the money that they needed.
They knew that money was going to continue arriving every single month and they just had peace of mind knowing that they were looking out for me. They’ve got something here for me. Let me lay this out there for you really quickly. For those of you in this community that are receiving some type of monthly benefit, maybe like Social Security, retirement or SSDI, maybe SSI or VA benefits, think of this with your monthly benefit that you’re currently receiving, if all of a sudden they dried up and your benefits stopped, where would that put you? You’d probably be in a pretty not in a very good situation, right?
Let’s just be real. I think if the money stopped all of a sudden, suddenly, you’d probably be feeling pretty frustrated, right? Because all of a sudden now it’s like, what am I going to do? I don’t know what I’m going to do. My money stopped, right?
But even though the payments are very small, I totally get it. The money is not that much. But at the end of the day, does it give you a little bit of peace of mind knowing that every single month, month over month, no matter what, that check is going to arrive in your bank account, on your Direct Express card, something like that? It probably gives you a little bit of peace of mind, even though, again, I completely understand the checks are very small. It doesn’t get you a whole lot.
But at the end of the day, I’m guessing it probably gives everybody a little bit of peace of mind knowing that that check is going to arrive every single month, month over month, no matter what. There will not be any interruption to your payment. That gives everybody a little bit of peace of mind. The same thing with these monthly checks that I was just talking about. The same thing is true with those checks is that people knew the money was going to be there.
But when all of a sudden that we were handed $1,200, $600.01, 4000 hundred dollars from these one off checks, all of a sudden life was really good. Things were really good for a short amount of time. But then when the money’s gone, all of a sudden we’re looking around thinking, what happened? Are they going to give us more just like what we’re dealing with right now? I think a lot of us can attest to this.
It’s been a long time since we got the last $1400 check back in March and April of 2021. It’s been a very long time. And I think a lot of us in this community and just a lot of people around the entire country as well, right now with all this rapidly rising inflation, prices going through the roof on everything, money being very tight, money really not buying you a whole lot of anything anymore. I think a lot of us are getting to the point where saying we’re sick of it. When is it going to come?
You know what I mean? It was really nice. They gave us a little taste of freedom when they gave us out that $1,400. It was sure nice when it was there, but as soon as it was gone, the more time that goes between the last check until maybe the next one, if there happens to be one, you know what I mean? It’s just like it continues to intensify as we continue to move forward into the future.
Because once again, we continue to look back and we continue to reminisce back on that $1400 check that we got back in early 2020, thinking, wow, it was so nice. It was so nice. And now look at us. Here we are all these months later. They’ve forgotten about us.
They don’t care. They simply don’t care anymore, right? So anyway, basically just kind of a synopsis of this report that I was reading about this. I thought it was super interesting because I think this is very relatable for a lot of us in this community, but especially what we’re dealing with right now. As we’re all wondering, is there going to be another check?
Is there going to be something else like this as well? One other quick side note. I want to throw this out there. This is a perfect example of this situation playing out. And then again doing the rug pull, just like what they did with the stimulus checks.
And again, I know that many of you here in the community did not receive these payments, but I want to throw this out there just as an example because this was also cited in the report. The monthly child tax credit payments that were sent out last year in the second half for six months in a row. Check, right? Six months. You got checks every single month.
And then all of a sudden, January 2022 hits and wait, no more checks. What happened? Right? So it’s kind of interesting because throughout the entire course of this year so far, I can’t tell you how many reports I’ve seen and how many people that I’ve heard talking about. I don’t know what I’m going to do anymore.
I was getting the child tax credit payments last year, the last six months of the year, last year, they were great. They were helping me make ends meet. And now I don’t know what I’m going to do. The checks have dried up. The checks are no longer coming out.
So this is a perfect example. Once again, the money was there. Everybody had peace of mind knowing that the check was going to arrive, and then, sure enough, the check stopped, right? Perfect example of how this is kind of leading into some of the struggles that people are having right now. Anyway, a very interesting report.
I want to share the details with you right here in the topic. The moral of the story is. At the end of the day. They have found from this study. And they found with all of these other universal basic income programs and guaranteed basic income program.
Monthly check programs all across the country. They continue to find time after time after time. That these monthly check programs are highly effective and they help out tons of people because it’s that simple peace of mind. Even if it was $500 or $1,000, like I said in this study, the study showed it didn’t really matter whether it was $500 or $1,000, people were way better off by getting these monthly checks simply because they knew that money was going to be there every single month. So, kind of interesting, right?
At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, whether it’s a monthly check or a one off check, realistically, when it comes down to it, we’d be way better off probably getting a smaller monthly check over long periods of time versus just a one-off check that they give us when things are really good. We got a lump sum payment, and then all of a sudden it dries up and that’s it, we’re done, right? So anyway, monthly checks, it’s the way to go. Seriously. That’s what these reports continue to show, time after time.
So anyway, I want to share the details with you because I thought it was so interesting as I was reading through this, and I thought this is actually, I think this is resonating a little bit too much with probably many of us here in the community. Anyway, hope you’re doing well again. Share the topic with your friends and on social media. Have a good one and I’ll catch you again later on the next topic.
